Account Setup and Verification

To create an account, visit the Carelancer website and click on “Create a new account.” Select “I want to offer nursing/personal support services” and fill in the required fields, including your name, email, phone number, and a secure password. After submitting the form, check your email for a verification link and follow the instructions to verify your email and complete the two-step verification process.

To complete your account verification, please upload the following documents:

  • Valid ID (such as a Driver’s License, Health Card, Canadian Citizenship Card, Permanent Resident (PR) Card, or Provincial Identification Card)
  • Proof of insurance
  • Police check
  • Certification documents (For Nurses: Relevant nursing certification and any relevant college certification. For PSWs: Proof of PSW Association registration or CANSWA registration number and any relevant college certification)
  • Registration Number (For Nurses: Your registration number. For PSWs: Your CANSWA registration number, if applicable)

Background Checks and Memberships

All careproviders are required to submit a background check. Nurses and PSWs are required to complete an annual background check through our preferred provider, Sterling Backcheck. For PSWs, if you have a membership with the Canadian Support Workers Association (CANSWA), the background check is included in the annual membership fees.
