Carelancer’s Content Policy
By using Carelancer and posting content on our platform, you agree to adhere to this content policy, in addition to the general Carelancer Terms and Conditions (see Care Seeker Terms and Conditions and Care Provider Terms and Conditions). Content includes any written, photographic, audio, video, or other materials shared on our platform, including:
Written Content: Job listings, profile descriptions, reviews, feedback, messages, and communications exchanged between care providers and care seekers.
Visual Content: Photos, videos, or any visual elements available or otherwise accessible via written content.
We reserve the right to remove or take action against any content that violates this policy, our Terms and Conditions, Review Policy, our Community Guidelines, or for any other reason at our discretion. We also reserve the right to suspend or terminate the account of any Carelancer user who does not respect the principles of this Content Policy.
The following types of content are not allowed on Carelancer. Note that this list is not limitative, and that Carelancer reserves the right to amend this list at any time without prior warning or to otherwise treat any other content in accordance with the principles of this Content Policy:
1. Advertising and Commercial Content:
● Content created solely for the purpose of advertising or promoting external [unrelated] commercial activities, including logos, company names, or hyperlinks to third-party websites.
2. Spam and Disruptive Content
● Content that is considered spam, unwanted contact, or shared repeatedly in a disruptive manner, including, without limitation, any “spam”, “junk mail”, “chain letter”, contests, sweepstakes and other sales promotions.
3. Illegal, Harmful, or Offensive Content:
● Content that endorses or promotes illegal activities, harmful behavior, or that is sexually explicit, violent, graphic, threatening, or harassing.
● Discriminatory content that violates our Nondiscrimination Policy or otherwise promotes or encourages discrimination based on factors such as race, gender, religion, or disability.
4. Impersonation and Unauthorized Use:
● Content that attempts to impersonate another person, account, or entity, including without limitation a Carelancer representative.
● Content that infringes upon the rights of others, including intellectual property rights and privacy rights.
5. Confidential Information:
● Content that includes another person’s personal or confidential information, including specific location details, health information or other information which may compromise privacy. All personal information must be processed by Carelancer users in accordance with Carelancer’s Privacy Policy.
Additional guidelines for specific content types
In addition to the foregoing general guidelines, the following guidelines and restrictions shall apply to specific contents:
1. Job Listings:
● Listings with irrelevant or misleading information regarding the job type, style, or experience.
● Listings with excessive use of symbols or emojis in the job title or description.
2. User Profiles:
● Profiles that provide fraudulent, false, misleading, or deceptive information.
3. Reviews:
● Reviews that violate our Review Guidelines and Policies.
● Disclosing personal information in a public-facing review.
4. Custom URLs:
● Personalized web addresses (URLs) that do not adhere to our Custom URL Policy.
5. COVID-19 Related Content:
● To prevent the spread of misinformation related to COVID-19, we have guidelines in place to address content regarding the pandemic.
How to Report Violations:
If you come across content that violates this Content Policy or other Carelancer policies, you can report it directly through our platform or by contacting our support team.
