Safety and Emergency Policy
Purpose
This policy establishes clear guidelines for Care Providers to manage emergencies, address unsafe or discriminatory conditions, and report incidents to Carelancer Support. By following these procedures, Care Providers can ensure safety, professionalism, and accountability during all appointments.

Scope
This policy applies to all Care Providers using the Carelancer platform and covers emergencies, unsafe conditions, discrimination, harassment, and no-shows. Note that this policy does not cover any obligations Care Providers may have to report any incidents or situations to third parties, such as supervising authorities or law enforcement, in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.

Incident Reporting
Care Providers must report emergencies, unsafe conditions, or incidents directly to Carelancer Support. Reports should include:
· Appointment details (date, time, location).
· A clear description of the issue.
· Supporting evidence, if available.

Carelancer’s Role in Ensuring Provider Safety
1. Logging Reports: All incidents are logged for review and follow-up.
2. Investigation: Carelancer gathers information from involved parties and conducts a thorough investigation.
3. Action Taken: Care Seekers violating platform policies may face account suspension or termination

Important Notes for Care Providers
· Dial 911 First: Always prioritize your safety and that of any Care Seekers or Decision-Makers by contacting emergency services (Dial 911) before reporting the incident to Carelancer.
· Leave Unsafe Situations: Never remain in an environment where you feel threatened or unsafe.
· Maintain Professional Boundaries: Avoid confrontations and remain professional at all times.
· Provide Detailed Reports: Include as much information as possible to ensure accurate documentation and resolution.
· Maintain Privacy: When reporting emergencies, you must maitain the confidentiality of personal information you have access to as a Care Provider. You should only disclose personal information which is relevant for the purposes of your report.
