Purpose

Carelancer is committed to fostering a community of professional Care Providers. This policy establishes expectations for maintaining valid certifications, engaging in continuing education, and optionally utilizing platform-provided resources to enhance service quality.

Scope

This policy applies to all Care Providers using the Carelancer platform. It emphasizes the importance of:

· Maintaining certifications.

· Fulfilling legal and professional requirements.

· Engaging in continuous education.

Optional platform training resources are available to support Care Providers in understanding platform-specific guidelines and expectations. Carelancer makes no representations or warranties as to the eligibility of such training resources for a Care Provider’s continued education obligations they may be required to meet to maintain any professional certification.

Policy Statement

Carelancer is a marketplace connecting Care Seekers with professional Care Providers. While Carelancer does not mandate specific training or certifications, Care Providers are responsible for maintaining professional standards. To support this, we strongly encourage Care Providers to:

· Maintain Valid Certifications: Ensure all licenses, certifications, and credentials required for their role are valid and up to date.

· Pursue Continuing Education: Seek additional training to stay informed about industry advancements and deliver high-quality services.

· Utilize Optional Platform Training: Access Carelancer’s optional resources to better understand platform policies, features, and tools.

· Comply with Legal and Professional Standards: Meet all legal and regulatory requirements relevant to their jurisdiction and field.

Responsibilities of Care Providers

1. Maintain Active Certifications Care Providers must:

o Ensure certifications and licenses meet the professional and regulatory requirements of their role and jurisdiction.

o Submit documentation of certifications during registration or periodic reviews.

o Keep certifications current and compliant with applicable laws.

2. Pursue Ongoing Training Care Providers should:

o Complete any required refresher courses or certifications necessary for their field.

o Seek out training programs and courses that support professional growth and service excellence.

3. Adhere to Ethical Standards Care Providers must follow the ethical and professional standards of their respective industries and ensure their skills remain current through training and certifications.

4. Participate in Optional Platform Training Carelancer offers optional platform training resources to help Care Providers maximize their use of the platform. These resources may include:

o Guidelines on platform features, communication best practices, and safety policies. Participation is voluntary and not a substitute for certifications or regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities of Carelancer

1. Certification Review and Monitoring

o Carelancer requests proof of certifications during onboarding to ensure compliance with professional standards.

o Carelancer may request updated documentation during periodic audits throughout the year or if they have reasonable doubts as to a Care Provider’s ability to provide Assistance Services to Care Seekers.

o Care Providers who fail to meet certification requirements may face account suspension or termination.

2. Optional Training Resources

o Carelancer may provide training materials, tutorials, or webinars to support Care Providers in understanding platform-specific policies and tools.

o Participation in these training opportunities is encouraged but not mandatory.

Consequences of Non-Compliance

1. Expiration Warning: Care Providers will receive reminders before their license expires, based on the information provided to Carelancer, with notifications sent 30 days prior to the expiration date. These warnings ensure Care Providers have adequate time to renew and avoid account disruptions. Note that Carelancer is not responsible if a Care Provider has

incorrectly provided their registration expiration date to Carelancer and that, as a result of such mistake, Carelancer fails to provide Care Provider with advance notification prior to the expiration of their license or registration.

2. Account Suspension: If a Care Provider fails to renew their license by the expiration date or submit updated documentation, their account will be temporarily suspended. During suspension, Care Providers must resolve the issue (e.g., renew their license or submit updated documentation) within a specified timeframe to be determined by Carelancer.

3. Account Deactivation: If the issue remains unresolved within the given timeframe, the Care Provider’s account may, at Carelancer’s sole discretion, be permanently deactivated and removed from the Carelancer platform.

Important Notes

Care Providers using the Carelancer platform must ensure all licenses and certifications on the basis of which Care Providers offer Assistance Services remain valid and up to date at all times while they are a member of the Carelancer community.

Care Provider are also encouraged to:

· Pursue Professional Development: Engage in ongoing training and education to meet industry standards.

· Comply with Legal and Regulatory Standards: Stay informed of and adhere to all applicable laws and requirements relevant to their profession.

· Understand Platform Training: Utilize optional training resources to navigate platform-specific policies and tools, but note these are not a substitute for certifications or compliance.

Maintaining Compliance

Adherence to this policy is mandatory for all Care Providers . Failure to submit a valid certification or license may result in account suspension or termination. Care Providers who falsify documents will be permanently removed from the platform.

Policy Review

This policy is reviewed annually to ensure it aligns with current laws and continues to enhance service quality and safety on the platform.
